Covid-19 Information and updates
Update – 29/09/20
This morning the school were advised that a student in the Year 9 bubble has tested positive for COVID-19. On receiving guidance from Public Health England we were instructed that a small number of Year 9 students are to self-isolate with immediate effect, they can return to school on Monday 12th October.
Following the discussions with Public Health England this morning, the school can remain open for other students in Year 9. This includes siblings of those Year 9 students who are self-isolating as well as students in Years 7, 8, 11 and 12.
Update – 28/09/20
This afternoon the school were advised that a Year 13 student had tested positive for Covid-19. The student was last in school on Friday 25th September.
On receiving guidance from Public Health England we were instructed for Year 13 to self isolate for a period of 14 days from when the student was last in school, this means Year 13 students can return to school on Friday 9th October.
Siblings of Year 13 students are still able to attend school as per normal unless self isolating themselves.
More detailed information has been sent via email to all parents, we ask parents to check their email and read through this. Year 13 will continue with their normal timetable and lessons will be delivered online via MS Teams.
Year 11 will return from their period self isolation tomorrow, 29th September.
Update – 23/09/20
This afternoon the school were advised that a Year 10 student had tested positive for Covid-19. The student was last in school on Friday 18th September.
On receiving guidance from Public Health England we were instructed for Year 10 to self isolate for a period of 14 days from when the student was last in school, this means Year 10 students can return to school on Friday 2nd October.
Siblings of Year 10 students are still able to attend school as per normal.
More detailed information has been sent via email to all parents, we ask parents to check their email and read through this. For Year 10 we have also provided further information on the remote learning that will now take place until the return to school.
Update – 18/09/20
This morning the school were advised that a Year 11 student had tested positive for Covid-19. The student was last in school on Tuesday 15th September.
On receiving guidance from Public Health England we were instructed for Year 11 to self isolate for a period of 14 days from when the student was last in school, this means Year 11 students can return to school on Tuesday 29th September.
Siblings of Year 11 students are still able to attend school as per normal.
Teachers of Year 11 do not heed to self isolate as all classrooms have a 2 metre exclusion zone at the front.
More detailed information has been sent via email to all parents, we ask parents to check their email and read through this. For Year 11 we have also provided further information on the remote learning that will now take place until the return to school.
