Welcome from the Headteacher
I hope you find this website useful to you either as a prospective or current parent or student. It is intended to provide a flavour of our school as well as being an on-going resource of readily accessible information. To get a flavour of life at Knutsford Academy please watch our video ‘Izzy’s Story’, link provided below.
We actively promote the highest academic standards, and the rigorous tracking of student progress is central to our approach. In so doing we are able to offer a range of interventions and support to ensure success. Whilst academic success is paramount to our provision, we also aim to ensure the highest standards of pastoral and welfare care. We believe in treating all our students as individuals and have dedicated Student Services staff to address welfare and behaviour matters. We also have Heads of Student Achievement who focus on identifying any causes of underachievement and raising standards through individual intervention. Form tutors are the first point of call for students, and we see them as a key part of developing a meaningful relationship with parents.
Our aim is for all students to be confident, articulate individuals, who are able to work independently or with others. We encourage a depth of reflection and creative thinking to prepare them for future challenges. We believe that our curriculum, pastoral care, relentless focus on achievement and range of extra-curricular activities all help develop our students as successful, happy and valued members of our community.
